SubRosa Blog...

back to subrosa: standard//rough//techno | back to front page

A combination of thoughts and reviews of websites, or anything else that occurs to me!

The Subrosa Blog is now complete

Please be aware that this incarnation of the 'Subrosa Blog' has now ended - why not visit the new Stuart Homfray weblog?.

Of course, that's not to say that the Subrosa blog will never return... I may decide to reincarnate it as a sort of sideblog or something!

If you've arrived here via a search engine results page, you may also wish to consider entering the site via the main entrance, as Subrosa itself has now outlived it's usefulness...

Eh..??

Here's a couple of winners of the Plain English Campaign Golden Bull awards:

A mission statement by web design firm anadrom ltd (I assume that this is a joke - well I hope it is

"Please browse the site to see our full range of services, we can remain customer focused and goal-directed, innovate and be an inside-out organization which facilitates sticky web-readiness transforming turnkey eyeballs to brand 24/365 paradigms with benchmark turnkey channels implementing viral e-services and dot-com action-items while we take that action item off-line and raise a red flag and remember touch base as you think about the red tape outside of the box and seize B2B e-tailers and re-envisioneer innovative partnerships that evolve dot-com initiatives delivering synergistic earballs to incentivize."

...And, a letter from Halifax General Insurance Services Ltd.

"I can confirm that you have not inform us a conservatory that has never been built and that you have not been charged any extra for one built."

Errrr.... thanks!

Photographer Arrested for Taking Pictures of Dick Cheney's Hotel

Here's a nice little story from 2600 about "The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave"TM bought to my attention by Declan McCullagh's Politech

It sounds a little extreme, but also, unfortunately, rather believable. Is this what we have to look forward to in the UK, as we seem to copy everything else from the States? Some of the tactics used in the US/UK are seemingly more and more Stasi/KGB-like...
