Gameboy Emulator
Here, is there WAS a Java programming project written by a guy called David Winchurch - it's a rather natty little Gameboy and Gameboy Color emulator.
David's site contains a couple more games than are were present here so if you want to play Madden NFL 2001, Mario Golf, Perfect Dark, or if you have any problems,
try heading over to David's GameboyEmu page and see what he has to say...
The games that you CAN try out here, however, Other games available are: 720 Skateboarding, Bubble Bobble Dx, Earthworm Jim 2, Ghouls and Ghosts, NBA In The Zone 2000, Pocket Bomberman, Pokemon Yellow, Rainbow 6, Zelda DX, Aladdin, Alfred Chicken, Asteroids, Bubble Bobble, Bomberman 2,
Bust a move 2, Donkey Kong Land, Golf, Super Mario land, Tetris, and Zelda.
There are also a few demos to try out too...
Due to folks like the silly boys at the 'SupremeVision Corporation', I have decided to take down the emulator as the remote links were impacting upon my bandwidth.
Spacewar!
Back in 1961, the first interactive video game was written by MIT student Steve Russell, on a Digital PDP-1 minicomputer, utilising the new teletype terminals with CRT screens to display graphics.
This game can be played in it's original form using the original code run through a Java PDP-1 emulator applet, courtesy of the programmers atMIT Media Lab,
at this location. If you've not seen or played it before, you may be rather surprised at it's resemblance to Asteroids!
Finally...
For all you users of RealNetworks players, you've just GOT to love this piece of creative vandalism!
Says it all really...
Is it REALLY up to the people who advertise vacancies on recruitment sites to give us their opinions?!?! But saying that, I must agree that Flash Action Scripting can be a bit of a pain sometimes...
Why not teach the whole family how to configure their very own secure web server with this little ice show running since June at Alton Towers.
There's no Denial of Service here...
