The New Google
Get the new-look Google.com experience thanks to a rather nifty little bookmarklet from Jesse Ruderman. The toggle google look [grab the link and drag it to your links toolbar] lets you switch between the traditional Google.com look and the all-new design of both the home page and the search page results. Basically it works by rewriting the cookie that Google places on your computer, but if you want an explanation slightly more in-depth than that, see Jesse’s Experience Google’s new look entry in his blog.
The changes are not exactly radical, but they give a page that is, to my eyes, a little ‘cleaner’. Unfortunately, the results pages themselves are still rendered with tables and font tags (in fact, I’m not sure if there’s much or even any change to the html at all), but at the very worst, it’s a bit of a change…
